FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Nevada volleyball dropped the match against the Colorado State Rams, 3-0, Thursday night.
Freshman Gabby McLaughlin led the offense with 10 kills recorded. At the same time, junior Hikialani Kaohelaulii led the defense with 13 digs. Andrea Alcaraz and Rylie Romero recorded double-digits in assists, with 18 and 10, respectively.
How it happened
The first set was balanced between the teams. Colorado State jumped on the scoreboard first, but the Pack made a comeback and tied the game 20-20. The recovery wasn't enough, as a two-point run by the Rams closed the set 25-23.
The same thing happened in the second set, where the Pack was trailing 10-6 but was able to tie the game 15-15. Nevada kept the match even up until the 23-23 mark to lose the set with another 25-23 score.
In the final set, the Rams took control from the beginning after opening a 16-6 lead to close the match 3-0 with a 25-13 score.
