Box Score DAVIS, Calif. – Nevada men's tennis traveled to Davis for the Aggie Invitational, Sep. 30 – Oct. 1. This is the second fall tournament of the season after opening fall play hosting the Wolf Pack Invitational mid-September.
The Pack was highlighted by sophomore transfer Youssef Kadiri who made it to the final of the Gold bracket in singles play. Kadiri defeated Santa Clara's Santiago Hinojosa 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 in the opening round. Moving to the quarterfinals due to an opponent walk over, Youssef defeated UC Davis' Constantinos Djakouris 7-5, 6-3 before falling to UC Davis' Sam De Vries 6-4, 3-0.
In the same bracket, Satchell Benn defeated Santa Clara's Nick Cmager 6-0, 7-5 in the first round to advance to the quarterfinals before falling to De Vries 6-1, 6-3.
In the White bracket,
Sasha Nicolau took Ventura College's Regnar Madarang 6-2, 7-6 advancing to the quarterfinals to defeat USF's Johan Garpered 6-3, 6-2. Nicolau fell to UC Davis' Coleton Hootman in the semifinals after a hard-fought match 7-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Juan Batalla took the first round in the Blue bracket against Stanford's Alex Lee 6-3, 6-1 before falling to UC Davis' Andrei Volgin in the quarters 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles action, partners Batalla and Kadiri received a bye in the opening round, going on to the quarters falling to Andras Necz and Ryan Torres from UC Davis, 8-7. In the Gold bracket, Patricio Nieto and Nicolau fell to Holy Names partners Benedikt Rake and Luka Schomer 8-4 in the first round.
