Nevada wins Wolf Pack Invitational with perfect record

Box Score RENO, Nev. – Nevada women's tennis wraps the Wolf Pack Invitational with a perfect record against Holy Names, William Jessup, and CS Stanislaus, Sunday at McArthur Tennis Center.
 
The Pack started off Friday with a bang finishing the day 6-0, singles matches against Holy Names and doubles against William Jessup.
 
Sophomore Mariana Campino led Nevada with her singles win against Holy Names opponent Romito Carlotta, 6-3, 6-0. In doubles play, Campino and her partner Audrey Moutama defeated William Jessup opponents, Jessica Holbea and Aysha Hayes 6-2.
 
Campino was named MW Freshman of the Year last season, finishing in an 11-4 record, as well as 5-2 in Mountain West play.
 
Senior Anastasia Luneva along with junior Matilda Sarcelet and freshman Audrey Moutama, making her debut as a part of the Pack, also started the day with singles wins. Luneva defeated Tully Richter, 6-1, 6-4. Moutama defeated Latesha Grant, 6-2, 6-0. Sarcelet defeated Deepa Varnaraja, 6-0, 6-2.
 
The Wolf Pack continued that momentum Saturday, having another 6-0 day. Campino, Luneva, Sarcelet, and Moutama set the tone with singles wins for the second day in a row against their CS Stanislaus counterparts. Campino defeated Amber Huk 7-5, 6-2. Luneva took Zuzanna Dziewiecka 6-3, 6-2. Sarcelet came back from behind against Annabelle Mulick in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win. Moutama dominated Sylvana Talamantes 6-2, 6-0.
 
In doubles play, both Nevada pairs defeated their Holy Names opponents 6-1. Campino and Moutama took control early on over Ella Lavender and Tully Richter. Luneva and Sarcelet mirroring the first, defeating Latesha Grant and Maya Curry.
 
The Pack saw no trouble rolling to another undefeated day on Sunday. Campino, Moutama, Luneva, and Sarcelet snatched up individual wins for the third time this weekend over their William Jessup opponents. Sarcelet sweeped Rietz 6-0, 6-0 respectively. Luneva defeated Hayes 6-1, 6-4, while Campino took Holbea 6-3, 6-1, and Moutama snagged a win over Stephanie Alsman 6-2, 6-1. In doubles matches, Campino and Moutama picked up a hard fought win against CS Stanislaus's Huk and Alyssa Tay, 7-5. Luneva and Sarcelet saw their third win of the weekend as partners over Hendryx and Young, 6-1. 

Nevada continues fall tournament season with the ITA Mountain Regionals Oct. 11-15.
