RENO, Nev. - Nevada (2-4, 0-2 MW) makes the trip away from the mainland and to Honolulu this weekend, taking on Hawai'i (1-5, 0-1 MW) Saturday at Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex. Saturday's contest kicks off at 9 p.m. PT and will be aired on Spectrum Sports in Honolulu, and Nevada Sports Net in Reno, with Kanoa Leahy (play-by-play), Rich Miano (analyst), and Scott Robbs (field reporter) on the call.

The Wolf Pack Radio Network will call the game as well on ESPN 94.5 FM with John Ramey (play-by-play) and Mike Edwards (analyst) in the booth, with the 60-minute pregame show to begin at 8 p.m. PT.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's contest will be the 27th meeting all-time between Nevada and Hawai'i. The Wolf Pack lead the series, 15-11, but is just 6-9 all-time against the Rainbow Warriors in Honolulu. Nevada defeated Hawai'i, 34-17, last Oct. 16 in Reno, to stop a two-game skid against the Rainbow Warriors.
ABOUT HAWAI'I
Hawai'i (1-5, 0-1 MW) fell, 16-14, at San Diego State Saturday on a field goal in the game's final seconds. The Rainbow Warriors are led by running back Dedrick Parson, who has rushed for seven touchdowns this season.
TAUA BREAKS FREE
Fifth-year running back Toa Taua continued racking up the touchdowns on the ground, going for two more in Friday's game against Colorado State. It marked his second-straight game with at least two scores via ground, as he ran for two Sept. 23 at Air Force.
After his 80-yard rushing night, Taua now leads Nevada in rushing yards (430), rushing touchdowns (seven) and total touchdowns (eight). Taua's seven rushing touchdowns this season is a career high, eclipsing the total of six set in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
TAUA CHASING NEVADA RECORDS
Along with racking up touchdowns in 2022, running back Toa Taua is also working his way up the respective Top 10s of a few all-time Nevada categories.
Taua entered 2022 ranked in Nevada's top 10 in career rushing yards, and currently sits seventh at 3,516 yards. His 746 career rushing attempts are fifth all-time, at Nevada, through Oct. 7. His 29 rushing touchdowns rank 10th in Nevada history.
BENTLEE SANDERS, BEARER OF THE TAKEAWAY TRIDENT
Nevada unveiled its takeaway symbol, a trident, upon its first takeaway of Aug. 27's season opener at New Mexico State. The symbol has seen plenty of air time through three games, as Nevada ranks sixth in the country with 14 takeaways (nine INT, five fumble recoveries).
Safety Bentlee Sanders has become the unofficial bearer of the trident, leading Nevada, and sharing the national lead, with five interceptions, including one last Friday against Colorado State.
BACK IN THAT TAKEAWAY FRAME OF MIND
After going two games in a row without a takeaway, Nevada got back into its thieving ways Friday against Colorado State. The Pack made three takeaways (two INT, one FR) in the contest, marking its third game this season with at least three (five at New Mexico State, four vs. Texas State).
Bentlee Sanders picked off his fifth pass of the season, moving him into a tie for the national lead with Utah's Clark Phillips, while Thomas Witte recovered his second fumble of the season. Safety Tyriq Mack also made the first interception of his career.
TRIP TO THE TROPICS
Nevada makes its every-other-year trip to Honolulu this weekend, and trips to Oahu have lately been good to the Pack. The Pack has won three of its last five trips to Hawai'i, and averaged 45.0 points over those three wins (2012, 2014, 2018).
The first of those three wins, in 2012, ended a seven-game losing streak in Honolulu. Nevada, 6-9 overall against the Rainbow Wahine in Honolulu, won its first three visits...in 1920, 1946, and 1948.
