RENO, Nev. – Senior guard Da’Ja Hamilton has been named Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., native tallied back-to-back 21-point games to power Nevada to wins over Air Force and San Jose State this past week. Hamilton shot 53.6 percent (15-for-28) from the floor and 54.5 percent (6-for-11) from long range in both games. Against the Falcons, Hamilton surpassed 800 career points after scoring a season-high 21 points to go along with two rebounds and two assists. She also shot 7-for-15 from the field, including 4-for-7 from behind the arc and 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.
Hamilton tied her season-high in scoring with 21 points to pace the Wolf Pack to its largest conference win in program history after defeating San Jose State 83-48 on Dec. 31. In addition, Hamilton added five assists and one steal.
Nevada has won nine of its last 10 games and is on a five-game home win streak as it hosts Utah State Monday at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
