Stovall earns a shutout against Broncos in Wolf Pack tie

RENO, NEV. – After losing their first conference game against the Utah State Aggies, the Nevada Wolf Pack had a stellar performance from one of their seniors that led them to a tie against the Boise State Broncos.

The match between the Broncos and Wolf Pack was quiet on the offensive side, as no goals were scored through 110 minutes of play. The first half saw 10 shots for the Broncos, in which senior Kendal Stovall saved half of them. The Pack were only able to get one shot off in the half.

It was a similar story for the second half. The Broncos were able to get six shots off in this half, but Stovall once again was able to save half of them. The Pack again only had one shot in the half.

Heading into overtime, nothing happened for either team. The Broncos had five shots between the two overtime periods, but were not successful with getting on the board. The Pack only had one shot between the two periods.

In total, Stovall would finish the match with eight saves against the Broncos 21 shots. The senior playing a big role in the Pack's tie with the Broncos. Foul trouble plagued both teams as there were 19 fouls total. The Broncos having 10 and the Pack having nine. Two of Nevada's three shots were taken by junior Gabby Brown

The Nevada soccer team will look to keep up their great defensive stand, as they have a duo of conference opponents this weekend.
