RENO, NEV. – The Wolf Pack soccer team took on the Saint Mary's Gaels, which saw the Gaels score three first half goals in a 3-0 Pack loss.
Going into this matchup, the Gaels had scored two or more goals in five out of the eight games this season. In the first half alone, the Gaels would score three. The first goal was scored by senior Annamaria DiGeronimo, her first of the season. This goal was scored within the first two minutes of the matchup.
The goals would keep coming for the Gaels, as their leading scorer junior Suzuna Shibukawa scored the second goal of the game after 25 minutes of play. This would be her sixth goal of the season. The last goal would be scored by senior Carly Hittenmiller, which was her first goal of the season. This goal would be the last goal scored in the match.
The Pack had sophomore Olivia Fothergill lead the team in shots with two. The Pack also had a total of four goal saves, all by junior Emily McCue
After going 1-6 in non-conference play, the Pack will begin conference play this week on the road on Friday against the Utah State Aggies.
