RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada football team is set for an action-packed Silver and Blue Spring Game on Saturday, May 1.
Nevada will be able to accommodate nearly 2,000 fans at the game Spring Game, which is 12 p.m. The game will also be broadcast on Nevada Sports Network with a simulcast available on ESPN Radio 94.5. Tickets for the game sold our earlier this week.
Fans attending are reminded of the following protocols for the game:
- There is no tailgating allowed.
- Face coverings and social distancing are required.
- All seating is assigned.
- Parking is free and CLICK HERE for the suggested parking lots.
- Normal game protocols, like the clear bag policy, are in effect.
The game will feature a "1s against the world" format that will pit Nevada's first string against the rest of the team in which the Blue team, consisting of the Wolf Pack's projected starters, will spot the Silver team 21 points at the start of the game.
The game will feature regular timing in the first half and a running clock in the second half. There will be a truncated halftime as well as short breaks during the scrimmage.
Fans with tickets to the game are required to enter the stadium through a specific gate based on their ticketed section.
- Sections A-D: Gate 1
- Player Pass: Gate 4
- Sections H-K: Gate 6
- Students and Media: Gate 10
- ADA seating: West-side should enter via north skybridge from the fifth floor of the West Stadium Garage; East-side should enter through Gate 6
The Nevada football team's Grit Run, a 5K race held alongside the annual Silver and Blue Spring Game, will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The virtual 5K run or walk will be also held on May 1 and all proceeds will also benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The entry fee for the Grit Run is just $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger. Each participant will receive an exclusive Grit Run t-shirt and a virtual bib. To sign up, visit

This marks the first-ever television broadcast of Nevada's spring game. The game will air on NSN with a two-and-a-half hour broadcast starting at noon.
The broadcast is scheduled to have in-game interviews as well as post-game reaction from fifth-year coach
Jay Norvell and his players. Wolf Pack play-by-play announcer John Ramey, NSN's Alex Margulies and color commentator Mike Edwards will be on the call. The game will be simulcast on ESPN Radio 94.5 FM.
In Northern Nevada, NSN is available over the air on channel 21; Charter channel 787 in HD or 7 in SD; DirecTV and Dish Network on channel 21; or on AT&T U-verse channel 1021 in HD or 21 in SD. The game can be seen from the following counties: Washoe, Carson, Humboldt, Churchill, Pershing, Douglas, Lyon, Mineral, Lassen, Lander and Eureka.
