RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's tennis fought to the end in Saturday's season finale against Air Force, but in the end fell 4-1 at McArthur Tennis Center.

The Pack (5-11, 0-10 MW) came within a hair of capturing the doubles point and getting the dual off to a positive start. All three doubles matches required the winner to capture a seventh game, with two going to a tiebreaker. The tandem of Milka Genkova and Mathilde Sarcelet held a 5-4 edge in its tiebreaker against Air Force's Meredith Jones and Hailey Stelse at No. 2, but the Falcons managed to clinch the point with a 7-6 (8-6) victory at No. 1 following a 7-5 victory at No. 3.

Cristina Moll Alles nabbed Nevada's only win in singles play, rolling to a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Shailla Alda at No. 4. At No. 3, Carla Del Barrio came back from dropping the first set to take the second to a tiebreaker, while Selina Turulja was headed to a third set at No. 5 when Air Force clinched the dual with its fourth point.

The Falcons (12-7, 4-5 MW) got straight-sets wins at Nos. 1, 2, 4, and 6, with the clincher coming at No. 6 with Stelse's 6-2, 6-2 win over Sarcelet.
