RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's tennis plays its first matches at home in over a month this weekend, as it hosts its final two matches of the season at McArthur Tennis Center.
The Pack (5-9, 0-8 MW) will open the weekend Friday at 2 p.m. against New Mexico (7-8, 1-6 MW), then take on Air Force (11-6, 3-4 MW) in the regular-season finale Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Nevada is serving as host of a weekend "pod" of Mountain West competition, as Fresno State will also be at McArthur alongside Air Force and New Mexico. The weekend's action will include neutral-court duals between Fresno State and Air Force Friday at 11 a.m., and Fresno State against New Mexico Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Nevada's match against New Mexico was originally scheduled to be played Sunday at 11 a.m., but, due to possible inclement weather that day, it has been moved to Friday's 2 p.m. start.
Nevada came within a point of capturing its first win in Mountain West competition this past Sunday, falling 4-3 to Utah State in Fresno. In each of its past two duals, the Pack has captured the doubles point, with the tandem of
Cristina Moll Alles and
Selina Turulja victorious in each dual.
