SAN JOSE - Nevada's weekend in San Jose closed with a 4-1 loss to Fresno State Friday at Spartan Tennis Complex.
The Pack (5-5, 0-4 MW) had a 5-2 lead with the tandem of
Milka Genkova and
Mathilde Sarcelet at No. 3 doubles, but Fresno State picked up wins at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots to grab the doubles point.
Cristina Moll Alles picked up Nevada's sole point with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Fresno State's Deniza Marcinkevica at No. 3 singles. But Fresno State (10-3, 3-0 MW) clinched the match with singles wins by Dalla Ahmed, Ella Husrefovic, and A.C. Hummel at Nos. 1, 6, and 4, respectively.
Nevada resumes Mountain West play next weekend, traveling to Laramie where it will face host Wyoming April 10 and Colorado State April 11. Both duals are set for 8 a.m. PT first serves.
