RENO, Nev. - Nevada (14-9, 9-7 MW) closes the regular season Friday night, hosting Colorado State (17-4, 14-3 MW) for a 6 p.m. tip at Lawlor Events Center.

The Pack will aim to bounce back from suffering a two-game sweep at Utah State Feb. 26 and 28, following a 19-day layoff.

Friday's contest will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, with Ed Cohen and Dan Dickau on the call. The game will also be broadcast in Reno on ESPN Radio 94.5 FM with John Ramey and Len Stevens calling the action.

UP NEXT
The Wolf Pack will travel to Las Vegas next week for the 2021 Air Force Reserve Mountain West Basketball Championship at Thomas and Mack Center. Nevada will begin tournament play in the quarterfinals, Thursday, March 11.

SCOUTING COLORADO STATE
Colorado State (17-4, 14-3 MW) wraps up its regular season with Friday's meeting in Reno, and closes a four-games-in-six-days stretch.

The Rams defeated New Mexico, 87-73, Wednesday night, after sweeping Air Force Saturday and Monday. Colorado State is led by the play of point guard Isaiah Stevens (14.8 ppg, 5.90 apg) and guard/forward David Roddy (16.1 ppg, 9.6 rpg).

MOUNTAIN WEST TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
Nevada's seed and start date and time at next week's Air Force Reserve Mountain West Championship has been set, thanks to San Diego State's victory over UNLV Wednesday night.

The Wolf Pack will be the No. 5 seed in the draw, receiving a first-round bye and opening up Thursday, March 11, in a 2:30 p.m. quarterfinal against either Boise State or Utah State.

WRAPPING UP THE SEASON AT LAWLOR
Friday's finale will be Nevada's 12th game this season at Lawlor Events Center, where the Wolf Pack has, so far, posted a 9-2 record in 2020-21.

The Pack is 7-1 at home against Mountain West competition this season, and currently on a six-game winning streak. Nevada's only home conference loss in 2020-21 was a 68-66 decision against Air Force on Dec. 20.

RARE DOUBLE-DIGIT LOSS
The Wolf Pack faced an uphill battle last weekend in Logan, coming back from a pause in which it went 19 days between games.

Despite fighting down to the wire in a 75-72 loss in the opener at Utah State, the Pack suffered a rare double-digit defeat in Sunday's finale, falling 87-66 to the Aggies.

It was a bit of an outlier loss in conference play, for the Pack, as none of their prior six MW losses had come by more than seven points, and by a combined total of 24 points, or an average margin of 4.0 points per defeat.

CAMBRIDGE, JR. GETTING BUCKETS
Redshirt junior guard Desmond Cambridge, Jr. has scored in double figures in 17 of Nevada's 23 games this season, and he has averaged 18.5 points while shooting 46.0 percent over Nevada's last four games.

Cambridge, Jr. went 9-for-18 from the field, and 5-for-11 from deep for 23 points in the series opener Feb. 26 at Utah State, scoring 13 points in the second half as the Pack pulled to within two with 31 seconds left after trailing by as many as 21. It was Cambridge, Jr.'s sixth 20-point performance of the season, and his second in three games.

The Brown University transfer has made a strong All-Mountain West case for himself, ranking in the conference's top 10 (MW games only) in 3-pointers made per game (third, 2.56 3pg), 3-point field-goal percentage (fourth, 35.7), scoring (sixth, 16.2 ppg), total 3-pointers made (sixth, 41), and field-goal percentage (eighth, 42.1)

COLEMAN CATCHING FIRE?
Freshman forward Tre Coleman was one of the few members of the Wolf Pack to post strong numbers in the return from the 19-day break between games, as he went a combined 7-for-10 (70.0 percent) from 3-point range in the series at Utah State.

Coleman has had an impressive debut campaign for the Pack, starting 19 of 23 games, and gradually becoming a contributor on the offensive end. Already a defensive specialist for the Pack, Coleman has improved his offensive numbers over the last nine games, averaging 7.9 points (with four games scoring in double digits) and shooting 39.0 percent (16-for-41) from 3-point range.

In Logan, Coleman averaged 11.0 points per game, and hit a career-high four triples in the series finale Feb. 28.
