SAN DIEGO - Nevada fell to 0-2 in Mountain West play Sunday, dropping a 4-2 decision at San Diego State.
The Pack (5-3, 0-2 MW) took the doubles point, but suffered singles defeats at the Nos. 1-4 slots, allowing the Aztecs to come back and take the win.
San Diego State (3-3, 1-1 MW) forfeited the No. 3 doubles position, and Nevada clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win by the tandem of
Cristina Moll Alles and
Milka Genkova at the No. 2 spot.
The Pack got a second point as the Aztecs had to forfeit at the No. 6 singles slot, but straight-sets wins for San Diego State at Nos. 1, 3, and 4, and a three-set, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 comeback win for Nnena Nadozie over Genkova sealed the dual.
Nevada returns to action next Thursday-Friday, April 1-2, heading to San Jose to face San Jose State (April 1) and Fresno State (April 2).
