FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – Senior Nicola Ader, who became only the second Wolf Pack student-athlete to compete in the pentathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships, finished the meet in 16th, earned two personal bests, and earned her sixth All-American honor throughout the meet. 

To start the day, Ader competed in the 60 meter hurdles where she finished with a time of 8.77. This time was only .01 seconds slower than her time at the Championships at the Peak. The time earned her 959 points and put her at 11th place. 

The high jump saw Ader finish with no height. Her three attempts at a height of 1.65m were no good and the senior finished with 0 points. This moved her down to 16th place.  

The senior moved on to the shot put where she improved her shot put personal best set at the Championships at the Peak. Her distance of 11.10m was not only good enough for a new personal best, but also earned her 602 points. The distance was the 14th best in the pentathlon. 

In the long jump, Ader earned a distance of 5.78m. This was only .07m off of her personal best of 5.85m. The distance was the 12th best distance and earned her 783 points.

Lastly, Ader earned her second personal best of the day. After earning a new personal best in the 800m at the Championships at the Peak, the senior would improve that personal best with her time of 2:25.95. This time was also the 12th best time in the pentathlon. 

Ader would finish the meet in 16th with her point total of 3,089. She would also earn second-team All-American, making this her sixth All-American honor. This being her third during the indoor season and first in the pentathlon. The senior still holds the record for the most All-American honors, no one in history having more than two.  

The Nevada track team will look to continue their outdoor season next week at the UNLV Invite and Multis from Mar. 18-20.
