ST. GEORGE, Utah
– Nevada (6-3) dropped a pair of games against BYU and Utah Valley on day two of the Dixie State Classic Saturday. The Pack fell to BYU, 7-1, and then lost Saturday's finale against Utah Valley, 8-6.
Nevada scored its lone run against the Cougars in the top of the second when
Sadaria McAlister stole second, drawing an overthrow by the catcher that allowed Senini to take home.
Lauren Gutierrez registered Nevada's only hit on a single in the top of the third. BYU scored seven unanswered runs to take the win.
Sadaria McAlister paced Nevada's offense in game two, going 3-for-5 with a home run, double, single, stolen base and four RBIs.
Chelie Senini also had a strong game at the plate with two hits and an RBI.

Sierra Mello and
Charli Hawkins each recorded a hit.
