UP NEXT
The Wolf Pack remains home for the second-straight weekend, hosting Boise State in a Friday-Sunday series. The opener against the first-place Broncos is set for a 6 p.m. tip at Lawlor Events Center, with the finale tipping off Sunday at 1 p.m.

THE SILVER STATE SERIES
Sunday-Tuesday's two-game series between Nevada and UNLV marks the men's basketball entry into the 2020-21 Silver State Series presented by IBEW Local 401 and Nevada Donor Network.

Originally called the Governor's Series, this all-encompassing competition that established a formal head-to-head athletic and academic challenge between the longtime rivals. Nevada currently leads the 2020-21 Silver State Series, 3-0, after football's win over UNLV in the fall.

Nevada, thanks to Sunday's 89-60 win, has a chance to claim three points with a win Tuesday, which would claim the season sweep.

MAKE IT SEVEN IN A ROW
Despite UNLV leading the all-time series against Nevada, 60-32, the Wolf Pack has controlled things of late, extending its winning streak in the series to seven after Sunday's 89-60 victory. After UNLV won eight-straight between the 2006-07 and 2012-13 campaigns, Nevada turned the series around, sweeping the 2013-14 meetings to begin a run in which the Pack has gone 13-4 in the head-to-head matchups.

HALLELUJAH IT'S RAININ' THREES
Nevada hit its first four 3-point attempts Sunday and finished the contest with a season-high 14 triples, the program's most since hitting 14 against Boise State on Jan. 4, 2020. At one point late in Sunday's contest, Nevada was 13-for-19 from behind the arc.

Freshman Daniel Foster opened the barrage, and, in the first half, seven of the eight Wolf Pack players who saw action had each hit a 3-pointer. By game's end, six Wolf Pack players had hit two triples apiece, led by three from Desmond Cambridge, Jr.

HYMES LEADS A DOMINANT BENCH EFFORT IN OPENER
While it was a well-rounded scoring effort from Nevada in Sunday's win, the 39-point contribution of the Wolf Pack bench cannot be overlooked. This effort was led by a career-high 16 points from redshirt sophomore forward K.J. Hymes, who finished 5-for-7 from the field and hit a career-high two 3-pointers.

Sophomore forward Zane Meeks returned to action after missing the past three games (knee), scoring 11 points with six rebounds off the bench.

Overall, the Wolf Pack bench combined to shoot 63.2 percent (12-for-19) from the field, including going 6-for-9 from 3-point range.

CAMBRIDGE, JR., SPLASHING THREES
Redshirt junior guard Desmond Cambridge, Jr., had one of his best shooting nights of late in Sunday's 89-60 win over UNLV, going 6-for-9 overall and 3-for-5 from deep.

With a game-high 17 points, Cambridge, Jr., extended his streak of double digit-scoring games to nine, and hit three triples for the first time since going 3-for-7 from behind the arc in Jan. 17's win over Fresno State.
