RENO, Nev. – Nevada guard Grant Sherfield was named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance from Jan. 11-17.

Sherfield averaged 25.0 points, 6.00 assists, and 4.0 rebounds over Nevada's two-game home sweep of Fresno State. The sophomore point guard shot 56.7 percent (17-for-30) from the field, 41.7 percent (5-for-12) from 3-point range, and was nails from the line, going 11-for-12 (91.7 percent) for the series. 

The Fort Worth, Texas, native extended his streak of 20-point games to six with a pair of such efforts against the Bulldogs. Sherfield went for 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting, including four 3-pointers, in Friday's 73-57 win, then closed the series with 27 points and a 10-for-10 showing from the line, along with eight assists, in Sunday's 79-65 victory.

Nevada (10-5, 5-3 MW) heads away from Reno for its third conference road series in four weeks, traveling to Laramie for a two-game set at Wyoming. The series opens with Friday's 5 p.m. PT contest on Stadium, with Sunday's finale set for a 1 p.m. PT tip on CBS Sports Network.
