RENO, Nev. – The Nevada athletics department is hosting a digital watch party on Friday evening at 7 p.m. to re-live the magic at Mackay Stadium that was the 2010 Wolf Pack football victory over Boise State.
The game, known as Blue Friday, featured a legendary comeback by Nevada, ranked No. 19 in the nation at the time, over then-unbeaten and fourth-ranked Boise State on Nov. 26, 2010. The Wolf Pack battled back from a 24-7 halftime deficit to send the game into overtime, where Anthony Martinez booted a 34-yard game-winning field goal. Nevada got touchdowns from running back
Vai Taua, quarterback Colin Kaepernick and wide receiver Rishard Matthews in the game.
The watch party will be hosted on the
Nevada football Twitter account – no account is needed to watch but those with a Twitter account will be able to participate in a live chat on the site during the watch party. A link is available by going to
NevadaWolfPack.com/BlueFridayReplay.
There will be interviews with Wolf Pack players who played in the game during the watch party, as well as trivia contests and other features for fans to win prizes.
The broadcast will be a condensed version of the game and the watch party will last approximately two hours.
