SAN FRANCISCO – In its final non-conference match of the season the University of Nevada (5-6) women's tennis team fell 4-2 at San Francisco (4-3) on Saturday at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.  The Wolf Pack is now 5-6 while the Dons improved to 4-3.

Next action for the Wolf Pack is March 20-21 versus Fresno State and San Jose State in San Jose, Calif.

Nevada earned the doubles point with victories on courts 2 and 3.  After dropping the doubles match on court 1 the Pack got a 6-2 victory from Roos van Reek and Arina Gumerova at No. 2 doubles to even the doubles competition.  Ksenia Shikanova and Liza Mintusova secured the point with a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles to stake the Pack to the early 1-0 advantage.

USF scored victories at No. 4 and 1 singles to move in front 2-1.  van Reek defeated Rita Colyer 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 singles to even the match at 2-2.  The Dons' Emily Maxfield defeated Shikanova 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 2 singles match to get USF within a point of the match victory.  Chico Mushika clinched the match with 7-5, 6-3 victory over Gumerova in No. 5 singles.
