HONOLULU, Hawai`i - The Nevada Wolf Pack split the final day of the Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament. Nevada fell in six innings to Oregon State to start the day, 9-0, but had a rematch with Hawai`i and won, 4-0.

In the morning game,
Blake Craft started the game and pitched two complete innings before
Julia Jensen came in relief and pitched 2 ⅓ innings. Jensen left the game in the fifth inning with two earned runs and handed the ball off to freshman,
Jana Pope. Pope pitched the final inning and had one strikeout but allowed the three runs that helped Oregon State win, 9-0.
Nevada only had two hits in the game, one from
Mele Tausinga and one from
Sierra Mello. The game was knotted at zero until the third inning when Oregon State, plated two runs to go up 2-0. The Beavers came back in the fifth and scored four more runs with the help of two Nevada errors. The score stayed at 6-0 but in the sixth inning, a three run home run ended the game early.

Kendall Fritz started the second game and pitched another complete game shutout with five strikeouts. The sophomore only allowed one hit in the seven innings and is now 6-4 on the year.
Nevada came out swinging and scored within the top of the first inning. It started with a lead off double from McAlister before Mello drew a walk and the Pack loaded the bases after an error from the Hawai`i infield. Gutierrez hit a grounder that scored McAlister but the scoring ended on a strikeout.
The Pack stayed aggressive in the second inning and scored
Charli McLendon on an RBI single from Mello to take a 2-0 lead. The score stayed the same until the fourth inning when
Haley Burda stepped up and knocked a lead off solo home run to take a 3-0 lead for Nevada. The Pack put two more runners on but a throw home caught Lew and she was called out.
Nevada maintained the lead, 3-0, until Mello hit another RBI single scoring
Chelie Senini, who came in to pinch run for Burda, and pushed the Pack up one more run, 4-0. Hawai`i put one runner on in the sixth after a hit by pitch but the next four batters were put down behind Fritz and the defense.
Up next for Nevada is the Wolf Pack Classic that runs from March 6-8 with Sacramento State, Weber State and Pacific coming to Reno.
