RENO, Nev. – The Nevada men's basketball team will play a 27-game schedule this season as the team's seven-game non-conference slate and new 20-game Mountain West schedule were announced today.
 
Nevada will open the season next week at the Golden Window Classic hosted by Nebraska in Lincoln. The Wolf Pack will take on Western Kentucky in the first game on Nov. 25 and a to-be-determined opponent on Thursday.
 
The Pack will come home for a pair of games the following week, Nov. 30 against Pacific and Dec. 2 against San Francisco, before traveling to play USF again, Dec. 6 in San Francisco.
 
Nevada will the road for a pair of games – Dec. 11 at Grand Canyon and Dec. 14 at San Diego – before the revamped conference schedule starts later in December.
 
Mountain West teams will play a 20-game slate, with teams playing two games against each school in back-to-back games at the same location.
 
Nevada will play host to Air Force, Fresno State, UNLV, Boise State and Colorado State. The Wolf Pack will travel to New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, Wyoming and Utah State.
 
League play will determine the seeding for the 2021 MW Men's Basketball Championship, which will be held March 10-13 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
 
Today's conference schedule announcement is the base schedule. Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports will now initiate a selection procedure, which will include the shifting of some games from their current dates. Additional announcements on television selections will be made soon.
 
Season tickets for the upcoming men's and women's basketball seasons at Nevada will not be available as the athletics department continues to comply with regulations related to capacity and size of gatherings.
 
With reduced capacity measures in place, the Wolf Pack is not anticipating being able to accommodate fans until the early part of 2021 at the earliest. The decision to continue with the reduced capacity was made in alignment with the University's ongoing mitigation efforts to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
 
Tickets won't be sold for Wolf Pack non-conference games through the end of December as family members and guests of the student-athletes, coaches and department will be accommodated first within the allotted capacity. If the department is able to accommodate fans for games after the first of the year, tickets would be sold on a single-game basis only.
