RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada (1-4) soccer team fell 1-0 to Weber State (1-4) in a double overtime match played at Mackay Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The loss dropped the Wolf Pack to 1-4 on the season while the Wildcats won for the first time and stand a 1-4.
Nevada hosts Utah on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the field at Truckee Meadows Community College. The Pack will play the next four games at Mackay Stadium following the contest with Utah.
After a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation and 10 minutes of the first overtime WSU's Rachel Twede found the goal with 3:20 remaining on the clock in the second overtime to give WSU the 1-0 victory.
The Pack outshot the Wildcats 14-8 in the game but were held scoreless. Nevada goalie Kendall Stovall stopped five shots and WSU goalie Kaytlin Bradley six. The Pack had six corner kicks compared to one for WSU.
