It’s Homecoming on the University of Nevada campus!

Action-packed Wolf Pack Weekend on tap!

RENO, Nev. – An action-packed weekend full of Wolf Pack athletics is on tap for Homecoming on the University of Nevada campus this weekend.

Homecoming festivities include the Howlfest this evening on campus in front of the Joe Crowley Student Union tonight. Captains from the Wolf Pack football team plus the Nevada spirit squad and the Wolf Pack marching band will all be in attendance.

The action begins on Friday when the Wolf Pack women's soccer team opens up Mountain West play at Mackay Stadium when it plays host to Boise State at 6:30 p.m. It's the first of two games for the Nevada soccer team this weekend. Parking is free in the West Stadium Garage. The game against the Broncos is a Whiteout and free t-shirts will be given out to the first 100 fans through the gates at Mackay.

On Saturday, the Wolf Pack volleyball team will look to continue its strong start to the 2019 season when Nevada takes on San Diego State at 1 p.m. The match will be at Virginia Street Gym and free parking is available at the Whalen Garage on campus. Nevada is 10-2 on the year an opens Mountain West play tonight at Fresno State.

Saturday evening, the Nevada football team will open Mountain West play against West Division rival Hawai`i under the lights at Mackay Stadium in a nationally televised matchup on ESPN2. Both teams enter the game with 3-1 records. Nevada leads the all-time series with the Rainbow Warriors, 14-9, and the Pack has won five straight home games against Hawai`i.

Award winners from the Nevada Alumni Association Gala on Friday night will be introduced at halftime of the game. And the Homecoming royalty court will be announced between the third and fourth quarters.

The weekend wraps up with soccer's second game in three days as the Wolf Pack will take on Utah State at Mackay Stadium with a 1 p.m. start. On Sunday, and for every Sunday home match, the Wolf Pack will feature a Penalty Kick promotion, with four fans selected to compete for prizes. Sign up at the marketing table near the southwest corner of the field.
