FRESNO, Calif. – The University of Nevada (11-11) men's tennis team fell 4-0 on the first day of the Mountain West Championship to the host school Fresno State (16-1) at the Spalding G. Wathan Tennis Center. The Wolf Pack end the season 11-11 while the Bulldogs improved to 16-10.
In the doubles competition the Pack's
Jonathan Aremon and
Jeremy Merville won 6-2 on court 3 but it would not be enough. FS won 7-5 on courts 1 and 2 to earn the first point of the match.
The Bulldogs won the three completed singles matches at No. 1, 4 and 6 singles. FS clinched the match with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 victory on court 4 to win 4-0.
