RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada (9-10, 0-3 MW) women's tennis team will host San José State (8-7, 1-2 MW) for Senior Day on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the McArthur Tennis Center. It is the final regular season match before the Mountain West Championship, April 24-27 at the Aztec Tennis Center in San Diego. The Wolf Pack will honor seniors
Adriana Gergelyova and
Marta Ruedas for their contributions to the program after the doubles competition on Saturday.
Selina Turulja (8-5) leads the team with eight singles wins in the spring with six of those victories coming on court 5. Roos Van reek (7-6),
Maria Tatarnikova (7-6) and
Adriana Gergelyova (7-7) each have seven wins. Van reek has seen action at three different spots with four wins at No. 5 singles. Tatarnikov has seen time on courts three through six. Gergelyova has been the Pack's No. 1 singles player the majority of the season.
Anastaysha Gorbacheva is 5-3 in the spring with four wins at No. 6 singles.
Tatarnikova and Turuljia are 12-5 in doubles play with 11 of those victories coming on court 3. Gergelyova and Van reek have played mostly at No. 2 doubles going 9-3 and have one win on court 1 for a combined record of 10-3. Gorbacheva and
Marta Ruedas have seen the most time at No. 1 doubles posting a 5-5 record. Head coach
Guillaume Tonelli has used nine different doubles combinations in the spring that have a combined record of 30-19.
