Reno, Nev. – Nevada (9-8, 2-3 MW) dropped the second of its three-game series with New Mexico (11-6, 3-2 MW) on Saturday afternoon 9-3. The rubber match to decide the series winner will be played tomorrow at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park.

Tickets for tomorrow's matchup are available online or by calling (775) 348-PACK.

The Lobos plated runs in five of the nine innings, including seven through the first four frames. Freshman Owen Sharts (2-3) suffered the loss while Lobos pitcher Nathaniel Garley (4-0) earned the victory.

New Mexico was led by Connor Mang, who smacked a two-run homer in the third inning and led the Lobos with three hits on the afternoon. Jared Mang led the team with four RBI on the day.

Tyler Bosetti was the only member of the Pack to register multiple hits, ending his day with two. Catcher Marco Valenzuela scored a run for Nevada in the fifth inning on a wild pitch after leading off the frame with a double.

The Pack's only other two runs came off the bat of freshman Matt Clayton, who launched a two-out two-RBI double to right field in the ninth inning to bring home freshmen Nick Seamons and Julian Boyd.

This was only the second time all season that Nevada has surrendered more than eight runs in a contest.

Tomorrow's series finale will again be called by Zack Bayrouty on 94.1 FM/1450 AM. No live stream of the contest will be available, but live stats will be broadcast here during the game.
