LONG BEACH, Calif. – The University of Nevada (5-2) women's tennis team 4-0 at Long Beach State (3-0) on Saturday at the Rhodes Tennis Center.  The loss was the second in a row, after the Wolf Pack started the spring 5-0.   The Pack dropped to 5-2 while the 49ers improved to 3-0.
 
Nevada concludes its three-match road swing at UC Riverside (2-2) on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
 
LBSU won the doubles point taking matches on courts 1 and 3.  The 49ers Wiktoria Rutkowska and Dominique Meyer downed the Pack duo of Anastaysha Gorbacheva and Marta Ruedas 6-0 in the first completed match on court 1. Nevada got a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles from Selina Turuljaand Maria Tatarnikova to even the doubles competition at one match apiece.  In a hard fought match that went to a tiebreaker on court 2, LBSU got a victory from Natalia Munoz and Lalita Devarakonda 7-6 (7-5) over the Pack's Adriana Gergelyova and Roos vanReek to clinch the doubles point.
 
The 49ers won the three completed singles matches to win 4-0.  Emma Bardet won in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 over the Pack's Melissa Hutchet at No. 2 singles to move the score to 2-0. On court three Gergelyova fell 6-3, 6-1 to Munoz and the 49ers were within a point of taking the match.  In the clinching match Nevada's Lili Fekete fell 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 in the No. 1 singles match to Rutkowska as LBSU claimed victory 4-0.  The other three matches went unfinished.
