EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Nevada (3-1) men's tennis team got the weekend started with a 6-1 win over Portland (1-4) at the Student Tennis Center on the University of Oregon campus Friday morning.  With the victory, the Wolf Pack has won its last three matches to improve to 3-1 on the season.

"It was a great match today," head coach Sylvain Malroux said.  "They played aggressively and stepped it up, it is a great team victory."
 
The Pack plays Oregon (3-1) on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. Livestats link and live stream link for the match with the Ducks.
 
After splitting the first two completed doubles matches the Pack won the tiebreaker 7-2 on court 1 as Kostya Nesterenko and Julien Evrard won 7-6 to clinch the doubles point.
 
Evrard clinched the win for the Pack with a 7-5, 6-2 victory in No. 1 singles.  Nesterenko scored a hard fought three set victory 6-3, 6-7 (5-7) and 10-6 on court 2.  Jeremy Merville who also won his doubles match with Jonathan Aremon, needed three sets at No. 3 singles to win 4-6, 6-3 and 6-4.  Aremon had it a little easier winning straight sets 6-4, 6-2 on court four.
 
Matvey Radionov also went three sets on court 5.  Radionov dropped the first set 6-0 but rallied to win his match with 6-2 and 6-3 wins in the final two sets.  Delmans N'tcha fell 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
