Nevada hosts UT Arlington on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center

Drew off to hot start averaging 27 points per game

The University of Nevada (1-1) men's basketball team hosts UT Arlington (2-0) in the third game of a four-game homestand to start the season under first-year head coach Steve Alford on Tuesday.  The game with the Mavericks will tip at 7 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center.  The Pack hosts USC at 8 p.m. on Saturday.  For tickets call 775-248-PACK or go to NevadaWolfPack.com
 
After dropping a five-point game to Utah 79-74 the Wolf Pack defeated Loyola Marymount 72-67 on Saturday.  The win was the first for Alford leading the team as he improved to 588-299 in 29 seasons as a collegiate coach.
 
Senior guard Lindsey Drew is off to a hot start to his senior year after missing last season as he recovered from a ruptured achilles.  Drew scored a career-high 30 against Utah and followed that with 24 points in the win over LMU.  Senior Jazz Johnson scored 16 against the Utes and 20 in the win over the Lions.
