COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West matchup between Nevada (4-6-2, 1-3 MW) and Colorado College (7-3, 3-1 MW) ended with a 1-0 victory for the Tigers on Sunday afternoon. Freshman keeper
Kendal Stovall finished with eight saves on the afternoon, the second-most in a game for her this season.
Sophomore
Hannah Souza led the Wolf Pack with two shots, while freshmen
Mariah Jackson and
Payton Lieb each totaled one shot on goal. Nevada finished the match with seven shots, compared to the Tigers' 16.
The lone goal of the match came in the 55th minute, when Lauren Milliet snuck one of her four shots past Stovall for the only goal on the afternoon.
Stovall recorded six of her eight saves in the second half, while the team put up four of its seven shots in the final 45 minutes.
One of the best scoring chances for Nevada came from Souza, who in the 78th minute pushed her shot just wide of the keeper and the goal.
