RENO, Nev. –  University of Nevada men's basketball players, Caleb and Cody Martin are in Chicago this week for the NBA Draft Combine that is set for Chicago's Quest Multisport on Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18 with ESPN 2 providing coverage both days from 12-4 p.m. PT.  The juniors have not hired an agent and may choose to return to Nevada for their senior seasons in 2018-19.
 
They are two of 69 invited players that will compete in five-on-five games as well as strength and agility drills in the two-day event scheduled for draft hopefuls. 
 
The duo helped Nevada post a 29-8 record this past season and advance to the Sweet 16 with exciting come from behind wins over Texas and Cincinnati.  The 29 wins tied the school record.  The Wolf Pack won its second consecutive Mountain West regular season title with a 15-3 record.
 
Caleb Martin led the team scoring 18.9 points per game.  He also averaged 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.   From the field he shot 45.4 percent and 40.3 percent from behind the arc.  He was named to the Associated Press honorable mention All-America team and Lute Olson All-America team.  The Mocksville, N.C. native was selected as the MW Player of the Year and USBWA District VIII Player of the Year. The MW coaches and media selected him as the Newcomer of the Year. He earned first-team All-MW honors from the coaches and media, was a USBWA District VIII and NABC District 17 selection.
 
Cody Martin averaged 14 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.7 steals per game.  He was named the MW Defensive Player of the Year and to the coaches MW Defensive team.  The MW media and coaches selected him to their second team.  His 30 points at Utah State tied for the high point total by a Pack player this past season.  In four games his posted a double-double which was second most on the team.
