RENO, Nev. – Concluding its three-match homestand last weekend, the Nevada women's tennis team (6-7, 0-2 MW) will play at San Diego State (9-10, 0-1 MW) Friday at 12 p.m. and San José State (11-6, 0-1 MW) Sunday at 11 a.m. Each team is looking for its first Mountain West victory heading into the weekend.
The Wolf Pack will look to rebound this weekend, coming off two tough home losses to conference foes Fresno State and intrastate rival UNLV. Nevada secured the doubles point in both contests, but went 2-10 in singles play.
Now 2-0 as a tandem in doubles play, junior Adriana Gergelyova and freshman Anastaysha Gorbacheva secured the doubles point in both conference battles last weekend. The duo helped the Pack secure a 4-1 record in doubles play heading into its first MW competition on the road.
In singles, senior Blaga Delic and freshman Melissa Huchet each have one singles victory in MW play to lead Nevada. Huchet leads Nevada this spring with nine singles victories, boasting a 7-1 record on court No. 4.
The Pack will be back at home on Friday, April 20 for a doubleheader against UC Davis and Portland State to close the regular season.
