FLAGGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Nevada diving squad concluded the third and final day of the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships on Wednesday with senior
Sharae Zheng qualifying for the platform dive at the NCAA Championships. In total, the Wolf Pack will have Zheng as well as junior
Sio I Lei represent Nevada at the championships.
After winning the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard the first two days, Zheng placed sixth in the platform dive with a score of 509.20. She began the day finishing in sixth in the prelims after scoring 255.35 points. Zheng was joined in the finals by Lei, who finished in 11
th place with a score of 468.15.
Also competing for Nevada in the platform dive was
Toma Shmitova who scored 189.50 points and finished 29
th in the prelims. Up next for the Pack is the NCAA Championships which takes place March 14-17 in Columbus, Ohio. Nevada will have Zheng compete in all three diving events, while Lei will participate in the 1-meter springboard.
