Nevada goes 3-6 on day one of LMU Invitational

Wolf Pack takes two wins from Pac-12's Utah

Box Score LOS ANGELES  – The Nevada men's tennis team opened up this weekend's Loyola Marymount University Invitational in Los Angeles with a 3-6 performance overall against Utah in singles and LMU in doubles.
 
The Wolf Pack started the day against the Utah Utes of the PAC-12, going 2-4. Jeremy Merville and Jonathan Aremon both won their first matches, with Merville topping Slava Shainyan 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 and Aremon defeating Mathias Gavelin 6-2, 7-6. Freshmen Daniel Dudockin, Matvey Radionov, Delmas N'tcha and Benjamin Campi all dropped their first matches. Dudockin fell 6-2, 6-1 to Dan Little, Radionov was defeated 7-5, 6-4 by Randy Cory, N'tcha dropped his match with Russell Benkaim 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 and Campi fell 6-1, 5-7, 6-0 to Azat Hankuliyev.
 
In the day's doubles matchup against LMU, the team went 1-2. Radionov and Campi defeated the pairing of Nick Borchenko and Lucas Moreno 8-6. Merville and Dudockin fell 8-4 to Diego Nava and Lukas Moenter while N'tcha and Aremon were defeated 8-7 by Ethan Prost and Max Kaiser.
 
The Pack will be back in action tomorrow with a singles matchup against LMU and a doubles matchup with the two-time defending Mountain West champion Utah State Aggies.
