SURPRISE, Ariz. – Julien Evrard and
Kostya Nesterenko's time in the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex has come to a close. Evrard dropped his singles match today, and the duo fell in the doubles consolation quarterfinals.
In the singles bracket, Evrard dropped his consolation round of 16 matchup with Alex Brown of the University of Illinois 6-3 6-1.
In the doubles consolation quarterfinal, Evrard and Nesterenko fell 7-6(7), 5-7, 10-8 to Thomas Laurent and Joshua Charlton of Oregon.
This was the first time Nevada had any athletes competing in the national tournament. The three days of competition wrap up Evrard and Nesterenko's fall season, but the duo will travel to Los Angeles to join the rest of the team at the Loyola Marymount University Invitational this weekend.
