SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Nevada women's tennis team opened up the Bronco Invitational tournament today with a narrow 4-3 loss to Mountain West foe San José State in singles action. The Wolf Pack also fell to the host Santa Clara Broncos 2-1 in doubles.
The Pack opened the day against San José State in singles.
Adriana Gergelyova,
Melissa Huchet and
Anastaysha Gorbacheva all earned victories, with Gergelyova defeating Savannah Sendar 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, Huchet defeating Klara Milojkovic 6-7, 6-2, 7-6 (5) and Gorbacheva topping Kristina Baran 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

Marta Ruedas,
Selina Turulja and Kristina Lagoda each dropped their first match of the three-day tournament.
Tatarnikova fell to Tamara Culibrk by a score of 6-2, 6-4 and Ruedas fell to Miyo Kobayashi 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. Turulja was defeated 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 by Alba Pedrero Galindo, while Lagoda's defeat was at the hands of Laura Malsert 6-3, 6-2.
In the doubles competition against Santa Clara, the pairing of Gorbacheva and Ruedas defeated Maddie Pothoff and Madison Clarke 6-3. The Tatarnikova and Turulja duo fell 7-5 to Katya Tabachnik and Elvena Gevargiz. Huchet and Gergelyova fell 7-6 to Jamie Schroer and Caitlyn Frankel.
Tomorrow, the Pack will open in doubles against San José State at noon, before a singles matchup with San Francisco.
