RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada men's basketball team trailed 39-38 at halftime but outscored San Francisco State 47-21 in the second half to win the Throwback exhibition game 85-60 at Virginia Street Gym tonight. A packed house of 1,588 fans saw the Wolf Pack explode in the second half to win the contest.
Four Pack players scored in double figures led by preseason All-America selection
Caleb Martin who totaled 19 points in 30 minutes. Twin brother
Cody Martin, the do everything player, scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out five assists, had three steals and a block.
Senior
Tre'Shawn Thurman scored 15 points off the bench and grabbed six boards. Graduate transfer
Trey Porter was the fourth player in double figures finishing with 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting and had five rebounds in 14 minutes of play.
Zane Paddon posted a double-double for SFSU with game highs of 22 points and 12 rebounds. He was the lone Golden Gator to reach double figures.
The Pack shot 41.5 percent from the field and held the Golden Gators to 38.2 percent shooting, 25.9 percent in the second half. Nevada held a slim 41-35 advantage on the glass as
