LAS VEGAS – Two members of the Nevada men's tennis team fell in the championships today at the ITA Mountain Regional in Las Vegas. Junior
Julien Evrard advanced to the Oracle ITA National Championships which will be held in Surprise, Ariz. from Nov. 7-11.

In the singles finals, Evrard fell 7-6, 6-3 to New Mexico's Rickey Hernandez-Tong. Despite the loss, Evrard will be in Arizona for the 128-person national tournament in November.

Nevada's pair of Evrard and
Kostya Nesterenko dropped the doubles championship today as well, falling 7-5, 6-4 to Northern Arizona's Ruben Montano and Tim Handle.

This was the first time the Wolf Pack made it to the finals of the singles or doubles at the ITA Mountain Regional, and will be the first time a member of the Pack will be competing in the national tournament.

The team will be back in action Nov. 2 to kick off the three-day Fresno State invitational in Fresno, Calif.
