LAS VEGAS – The Nevada men's tennis team advanced into the singles semifinals and doubles quarterfinals today at the ITA Mountain Regional.
In the singles bracket, Julian Evrard advanced to the semifinals with a pair of victories over Isaac Arevalo of Utah State, winning 6-0, 6-3. Evrard followed it with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Stepan Holis from New Mexico. Tomorrow at 10 a.m. he'll be matched up against Sean Hill of Brigham Young University.
Evrard advanced in the doubles bracket as well, moving into the quarterfinals with teammate
Kostya Nesterenko. The duo topped New Mexico State's Louis Menard and Enrique Asmar 8-3. The pair will take on Utah's David Micevski and Slava Shainyan at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning. At this tournament last year, Nesterenko and Evrard fell in the quarterfinals to conclude the Wolf Pack's competition in Las Vegas.
