Box Score LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Nevada men's tennis team opened the ITA Mountain Regional tournament today, with three matches in the qualifying round.
In the doubles bracket, the pairing of
Daniel Dudockin and
Jonathan Aremon went 2-0 and earned a matchup with Denver's Pedro Fernandez and Mattia Ros tomorrow. The Pack knocked off the team from Northern Arizona 8-6 and followed that with an 8-4 victory over the doubles team from Idaho State.
In the singles qualifying round, Nevada's
Jonathan Aremon dropped his round of 32 match with Air Force's Luke Sanderson by a score of 6-1, 6-4. In the consolation bracket, Aremon fell 6-4, 6-4 to Northern Arizona's Ron Idzon.
Tomorrow, the Wolf Pack will open up the singles round of 64 with
Matvey Radionov,
Julien Evrard,
Jeremy Merville,
Daniel Dudockin and
Kostya Nesterenko all starting at 10 a.m.
The Wolf Pack's day will also include Dudockin and Aremon joining the duos of Evrard/Nesterenko and Radionov/Merville in the doubles round of 32.
