STANFORD, Calif. - Nevada's Grant Booth carded a 4-over 74 on Monday to open his run at the NCAA Regionals from Stanford Golf Course.

Booth's 74 on the par 70 course has him tied for 47th overall in the 75-player field. Among the 10 individuals in the Stanford regional he posted the fifth-best round. The top five teams from each region along with the low individual not on one of those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.

Booth struggled to find low numbers on Monday, making just one birdie throughout his round. He began his day with bogeys on No. 2 and 3 but got both of those shots back two holes later when he holed out for an eagle from 140 yards out. It marked his second eagle of the season. Booth found himself at 1-under after a birdie on No. 7 but a bogey on No. 8 sent him to the turn at even par. He was unable to make any additional red numbers on the back nine to finish with a 4-over 74.

Maverick McNealy of Stanford and Brad Dalke of Oklahoma are tied for the individual lead at 5-under par. No. 4 Stanford leads No. 9 Baylor for the team lead by six strokes at 9-under par.
