STANFORD, Calif. - Ending the tournament just five over par, sophomore Travis Fredborg led the Nevada Wolf Pack men's golf team to a twelfth place finish Saturday at The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford.
Overall, the Wolf Pack shot its best round of the tournament on the final day with a score of 286, finishing the trend of getting better each day. Fredborg recorded four birdies on Saturday en route to his finish tied for 20th. Junior Grant Booth finished up just behind him at six over, tied for 25th. Juniors Corey Eddings (T80, +16) and Kaleb Gorbahn (T87, +17) and senior Nick Fuller (T116, +23) rounded out the field for Nevada.
"We didn't have our best stuff but we gutted out a solid finish in a tough field," said head coach Jacob Wilner. "We also accomplished one of our goals this week which was a top twelve finish, and that gets us an automatic invite back to next year's event."
The Pack will return to the course on April 13 and 14 for the El Macero Classic in Davis, Calif.
