RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team (5-6) will take on Air Force (6-10), Northern Arizona (10-6) and New Mexico (7-9) this weekend at the McArthur Tennis Center. The Wolf Pack is currently 2-0 at home this season.
"Having our first home matches on campus two weeks ago was really exciting. We look forward to continuing to play at home!" said head coach Sylvain Malroux. "This is also a new season as we start our conference play. We cannot wait for it."
Nevada will begin conference play when they take on Air Force on Friday at 12 p.m. and New Mexico on Sunday at 12 p.m. They will also host Northern Arizona at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Combined, all three of the Wolf Pack's opponents have only won six matches on the road this season.
The Wolf Pack is coming off one of their best weekends of the season, defeating both Sacramento State and Saint Mary's at the new McArthur Tennis Center. Robert Margitfalvi was one of the best players on the court for those two victories, going 4-0 over the weekend with victories in both the No. 2 doubles and singles matches.
Margitfalvi and Peter O'Donovan have been one of the best doubles teams for the Wolf Pack this season, winning seven matches and six of their last 10. Margitfalvi, O'Donovan and Kostya Nesterenko have each won their last four singles matches. Nesterenko leads the team in singles victories with 14.
