TEMPE, Ariz. - The Nevada men's golf team continued its recent stellar play with two rounds under par to begin the ASU Thunderbird Invitational from Karsten Golf Course.

The Wolf Pack began its day with a team round of 283, good for 1-under par. Nevada followed that up with a 9-under par team round of 275 in the afternoon. Through the first 36 holes of the event, the Pack sits in sixth place in the 16-team field at 10-under par. Tournament host Arizona State is seemingly dominating the field at 37-under par, 19 shots better than second place Colorado State. Of the 16 teams in the field, the top 10 are all under par for the tournament.

Among the 84 players in the field, Nevada placed four of its counting scores on Saturday inside the top 30. Juniors Grant Booth and Corey Eddings led the way for the Pack as both are tied for 13th with 18 holes remaining. Both Booth and Eddings are at 4-under for the tournament after two-round totals of 138. They sit eight shots behind the two individuals at the top of the leaderboard, Chun An Yu and Blake Wagoner of Arizona State.

Booth's first round was fairly consistent as he fired an even par 71 thanks to two birdies and 14 pars in his round. In his afternoon session he made seven birdies throughout his round to post a 4-under 67. Eddings on the other hand, who struggled in the final round of the team's last tournament, collected back-to-back rounds of 69 on the par 71 course.

Nevada has two other players tied for the same spot as senior Nick Fuller and sophomore Travis Fredborg are currently tied for 26th place at 1-under par. Fuller made double bogey on his fifth hole of the day but rebounded with three birdies throughout the rest of his opening round to secure an even par 71. He came in under par during his second round after making four birdies on the back-9. Fredborg ranked eighth in the field by making 26 pars on Saturday en route to rounds of 72 and 69. Fredborg began his second round of the day by eagling the par 5 10th, making it two consecutive tournaments he has recorded an eagle. Junior Kaleb Gorbahn also competed for the Pack and is tied for 71st after he posted rounds of 75 and 76.
