Box Score PROVO, Utah – Sophomores Kostya Nesterenko and Julien Evrard won their third doubles match of the week to advance to the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket before falling and finishing the Nevada men's tennis team's run at the ITA Regionals. The Wolf Pack will compete at the Pacific Tiger Invitational in Stockton, Calif. next Friday
Nesterenko and Evrard started their day with a doubles victory over Egbert Weverink and David Micevski of the University of Utah by a score of 8-7. The duo finished their time at the ITA Regionals 3-1 after falling in the quarterfinals to Ruben Montano and Tim Handel of Northern Arizona. The NAU tandem was the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
Nesterenko and junior Jonathan Aremon did not compete in their singles matches after the Wolf Pack was knocked out of the doubles tournament, and the ITA Regionals came to an end for Nevada on Friday afternoon.
