RENO, Nev. - The Nevada women's basketball team will hold its annual Samaritan's Feet game this Saturday when the Wolf Pack takes on the New Mexico Lobos at 4 p.m. in Lawlor Events Center.
Samaritan's Feet is an organization dedicated to serving and inspiring hope in children by providing shoes as the foundation to a healthy life, resulting in the advancement of education and economic opportunities. Since being founded in 2003, Samaritan's Feet and its partners have distributed over 6.5 million pairs of shoes in over 75 countries and 325 cities around the United States.
On Saturday fans can purchase a brand new pair of Nike shoes for $20 that will go to a child in need in the local community. For a $5 donation fans can purchase paper feet in which all the proceeds will be donated directly to Samaritan's Feet. There will also be shoe boxes that will be passed around at halftime for donations that will be split locally and to the organization.
