RENO, Nev. - The Nevada women's basketball coaching staff will hold a two-day 'Growing the Game' coaching clinic on Oct. 14-15. Highlighted presenters include WNBA head coach Pokey Chatman and former WNBA player and co-owner and trainer of the Sacramento Skills Academy, Danielle Viglione.

The two-day clinic will feature skill development sessions and hands-on drills by Chatman, Viglione and members of the Wolf Pack women's basketball coaching staff, including head coach Jane Albright, associate head coach Camille Williams and assistant coaches Kami Malnaa and Janet Butler. Members of the Wolf Pack men's basketball coaching staff will be on hand as well, featuring head coach Eric Musselman and assistant coach Dave Rice.

Sessions and drills will be broken down according to skill level and will be held at Lawlor Events Center, the home of Wolf Pack basketball.

On Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m., coaches attending the clinic will have the opportunity to take in and observe a Wolf Pack men's basketball practice, led by Musselman and Rice.

Chatman is currently the head coach of the WNBA's Chicago Sky and is the former head coach of the LSU women's basketball team. Her coaching career spans over 20 years and she has been the coach of the Sky since 2011. During her time at LSU, she led the Lady Tigers to three consecutive NCAA Final Fours from 2004-06.

Viglione enjoyed a stellar collegiate playing career at the University of Texas in the mid-90s and set the collegiate three-point record at the time. She went on to play 10 seasons of professional basketball in the WNBA and overseas. She is now co-owner of the Sacramento Skills Academy and works with Nike Skills as a trainer.

The clinic is open to all coaches, male and female, from all skill levels with the cost at $50 per coach or $100 per coaching staff. The cost of the clinic will include lunch on Saturday.

Coaches attending the 'Growing the Game' clinic will have a special $79 room rate available at the Peppermill for the night of Oct. 13 and a rate of $109 per night for the 14th and 15th. When booking a room by phone use the code LNVHOOP.
