Head coach Eric Musselman led the Wolf Pack to a CBI Championship and 24-14 record in his first season at Nevada a year ago. Last year's team became the first in Mountain West and school history to win a postseason championship.
Nevada returns four starters from last season led by sophomore forward Cameron Oliver who had one of the best freshman seasons in Wolf Pack history. Oliver set the Pack season record for blocks and nearly averaged a double-double scoring 13.4 points and grabbing 9.1 rebounds per game. He ranked among the national leaders in blocks.
Senior guard D.J. Fenner is back after scoring a career-best 13.7 points per game and is looking to become Nevada's next player to score 1,000 points in a career. Junior forward Elijah Foster and sophomore guard Lindsey Drew round out the returning starters.
The Pack welcome three talented transfers that redshirted last season in senior guard Marcus Marshall, forward Leland King II and guard/forward Jordan Caroline. All three will challenge for starting spots or be key reserves off the bench this season.
A pair of four-star freshman recruits Devearl Ramsey and Josh Hall are expected to make key contributions this season.
Nevada hosts San Francisco State in an exhibition game on Nov. 4 before opening the regular season at Saint Mary's on Nov. 11. The Pack will play 14 regular season home games starting with Loyola Marymount on Nov. 14. The home schedule includes games with NCAA Tournament teams; Oregon State, Iona and Fresno State. The Pack also welcomes intrastate rival UNLV, San Diego State, New Mexico and Boise State to Lawlor Events Center.
