The University of Nevada Athletics Department held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new on-campus tennis courts on Thursday night. Director of Athletics
Doug Knuth announced that the courts will be named the McArthur Tennis Center.
The six courts are located near the Hixson Softball Park and the new field events area for the Wolf Pack women’s track & field program on the east end of the campus. The Wolf Pack will be playing on campus for the first time since the 1990’s. The facility will serve as practice and competition location for the Pack’s men’s and women’s tennis teams.
The first competition is set for Mar. 4 when the men host Saint Mary’s College. The women’s first home action is March 10 when UC Davis travels to Reno.
