RENO, Nev. - University of Nevada head men's basketball coach Eric Musselman has hired Sam Krosnick as the Wolf Pack's new director of player development. Krosnick will be put in charge of implementing an NBA style video room for the Wolf Pack program.
"We are excited to bring Sam into our Wolf Pack family," Musselman said. "His experience in the NBA will be utilized in every facet of our program. More so, his experience with video preparation and editing, and scout preparation will be extremely valuable at Nevada."
Krosnick joins the Pack staff after working as the opposition video analyst for the NBA's Orlando Magic last season. While working with the Magic he assisted the coaching staff on opponent game plans, produced film for coaches and players and helped with the staff with on court development of the players.
Prior to working with the Magic he interned under the video staff with the NBA's Washington Wizards. At the same time he was a two-year volunteer with the nationally successful DeMatha Catholic High School basketball program located in Hyattsville, Md.
A native of Silver Springs, Md. he attended Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, Md. After high school he attended the University of Maryland where he served as a student manager under coaches Gary Williams and Mark Turgeon. In 2014 he received his degree from Maryland. He also interned for the WNBA's Washington Mystics as a video coordinator.
